LWhytesFringe 0 Posted December 7, 2010 Theres an 89' MX-5 that I am thinking of buying later on, the only problem is the sound. When braking, it sounds like theres an ocean inside. At first my dad thought it might be the fuel tank, but that wasn't it, so I was wondering if water could end up inside the chassis rails, and if so how would I get it out. It is an otherwise great car, I just don't know if that would be a major problem.
SuperMazdaKart 0 Posted January 14, 2011 Probably a bit late now, but probably water drainage channels for the roof are blocked. Causing a buildup of water in the boot, passenger side far left where the jack is stored.
dustyae86 1 Posted January 16, 2011 where the jack is stored?? The drainage hoses are underneath the car just in front of the rear wheels, blow a bit of air up teh and water will most likley piss out
SuperMazdaKart 0 Posted January 16, 2011 I've had water pool up in that area before. Took out the grommet on the bottom to let the water out. Beats me how it got there.
