help a crippled brother out.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys so I got my hand crushed and burnt really badly at my workplace. So naturally I'm at the hospital and let me tell you the bordem is worse than the pain. So I want to buy a lippy to watch some dvds. I want the dvds because nausea is so bad when I try to focus on reading I do an insta throw up. Now because I can't read and there's no wifi at the rah I can't do any research on My own. So my question is could somebody please please please help me out by answering my 2 questions?

A) can I get a decent laptop for 5-700? And if so any links.

B) If I increased my budget to say 1k would I be getting a significantly better better youtube / Internet / dvd rig?

Many thanks in advance it took me nearly 15 Mins to write this up.

Yes you can get a decent laptop for $500. I had to buy some for work a couple of months ago, a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM and a decent processor that is good enough, like the i3 you can all get for $500. Sorry, I don't know any places in SA, but $500 is a good budget for a laptop that can easily do more than youtube/movies/browsing ns.com lol.

If you want (and are able to), just post some links here and we can tell you the best one to buy. Sorry to hear about your hand, hope you get all better soon ;)

Depends. It's an AMD quad core(2.4ghz) compared to Intel's i3 (1.7 ghz). It's all personal preference.

that last one you posted has a slower processor and smaller HDD but would be fine for what you need.

any laptop under $500 is gonna youtube/facebook/spotify/internet.

could probably even get by with a netbook if you can deal with the super tiny keyboards.

wait..do they even make netbooks anymore?

I like acer laptops have had good experiences with them.

Also I would recommend a blue tooth wireless mouse to make them easier to use
