NS.com Thug 27 Posted June 14, 2005 You guys are pathetic. I have seen BOBGEN3's car run, and there is no tricks to it. The fact that he can drive and the rest of the stupid 13y/o kids on here don't know what a clutch is isn't his problem. The GEN3 reacts well to the RIGHT tuning and mods. I am soooo sick of these stupid wankers on this site who can't accept other cars coz it isn't a Nissan. It is BS. You are WORSE than the v8 bogans. At least they accept and respect quick cars. If it was a 180SX doing the times it wouldn't be questioned.
PingBoy 0 Posted June 14, 2005 dont know about the light tune bit and getting 12's. a mate has a monaro with gen3. full exhaust with extractors bigger throttle body bigger air flow senaor cold air intake re-tuned ecu and trans software done by Martin Donnin and it only gets 13.8 down the 400m. this is a more realistic time for a light tune gen3 still better take it easy as you might bend your pushrods cant believe they still use them holden should spend money on R&D and not so much on advertising then they might have what the japs had 10 years ago. but thats my opinion. I also have a mate with a GEN3 commo. A VT SS auto, with an exhaust and UNIchip and guess what it ran? 13.8 And he hit the rev limit in 2nd on that run too. Tell your mate he needs some driving lessons So Holden should spend MILLIONS to upgrade the best selling car in the country because some pratt with an auto 180 (who probably wouldn't buy one still anyway)says so? Jealousy is a curse guy's
simE 0 Posted June 20, 2005 Are we talking bout a v6 commo Borgen111? If not your time doesnt sound right at all. I saw someone run a vs commo with a cat back exhaust with cold air intake and K&N panel filter and he only got into the 16's. 16's are about right. my mate has a 5 speed VN, 2.5" gonzo exhaust, CAI + massive airbox, and he runs 16.1's. another mate has a VR ute, CAI, exhaust and a rebuilt motor and he runs 15.7s. If he has an LS1 though thats hardly surprising
