  1. What is the method to relocate to the passenger side? Another method is i've read up some people make a new bracket and rotate it 90 degrees?
  2. Hi all, What have people done to replace this when their off the shelf kit cold side piping is in the way and cannot run the factory bottle? Aside from rewelding the piping to make it fit Cheers,
  3. Most likely will be a type 3 board for a Redtop SR20DET non-vct. Check my thread out on Nistune boards http://forum.nistune.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3410 Basically if you have a 64 pin ECU (which is S14 FL S15 etc.) you will need a type 4 board. The 76 pin ecu (most likely your one - take yours out and just count the pins) is type 3 which is for S14 PFL, S13 180sx. The only other factor you need to take in Good luck
  4. Yeah now looking at it, I believe the outer casing shell which is held in by 4 screws and loctite (lol) has been changed on both sides. So the actual board and casing itself it untouched. The loom could be a S15 one or potentially still a S14a? I believe its all to do with the S15 coils and how theyre run from the loom so potentially the last revision of S14s could have pretty much had the same type of loom from S15? I'll crack open the board when I get home in a couple of weeks to confirm the internals. Cheers for the help guys
  5. Sorry for the picture spam but the ECU that is plugged in is the RB Case (S14 FL ECU 23710-80F00 inside it) and the unplugged ECU is a 69F S14 PFL ECU (i.e 76 pin) Looking at this quick comparison, my current ecu loom plug definitely won't plug into the 69F ECU. So therefore just because it is a RB Case doesn't mean its automatically a 76 Pin? (i.e long header plug)
  6. Yeah I have put a post on their 3 / 4 /5 forum board and Matt is really good at replying. I will be getting the board fitted at a tuner in New Zealand and tuned in New Zealand so its basically coming down to if I need a Type 3 or Type 4 board now
  7. Doing a quick google search is it because of the 76 pin (being RB and S14 PFL/ S13 ECU) vs 64 pin (S15 S14 etc. etc.) So if my ECU is in an RB case it must be 76 pin to fit right?
  8. Sorry could you elaborate further? Is it common for S14 ecu to be put into an RB case? Can a S14 FL Ecu not fit in the RB case? Also is it possible to rewire a PFL S14 ECU to work on for the S15 coils / FL 69-F00 69-F01 AFM? Apologies for the shit knowledge on the ECUs and in general Sorry could you elaborate further? 9. Sorry I forgot to say this engine was put into a 180sx and for some reason the ECU casing is in a RB ECU case So therefore there is no markings on the ECU case. Is it possible to repin a Redtop SR20DET ecu to work on a Blacktop VCT SR20DET? I think the easiest way for me to find out if I have a 80F ECU is plugging one in and seeing if my car runs the same
  10. Hi all, New to the australian scene. I've been looking to upgrade injectors for an upcoming tune http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/740cc-fuel-injectors-x-4-RR544-for-Nismo-Nissan-Silvia-200sx-S13-S14-S15-SR20DET-/131905262871?hash=item1eb62a9517:g:YCsAAOSwgZ1Xq9qN Examples like this from Global Auto Co. which state they are remanufactured yadadadada Are these legit or just decapped? Has anyone used their injectors on their builds / tunes? I always go by when something is too good to be true, it probably is
  11. Hi all, I have been trying to identify my ECU as I have a Nistune board being fitted to it soon and the tuner needs to know if he has the right adapter plug Through alot of google and difference sources of info on the internet: 23710-80F00 - S14 - SR20DET - M/T - 06/96~12/98 23710-0A547 - S14 - SR20DET - M/T - 09/97~12/98 These are the two relevant ECUs that I could be running. Most commonly I believe the SR20DETs from the S14 will be running 80F00 I have transplanted this S14a SR20DET with loom and ecu (all factory) into my S14 PFL. It runs the S15 coils and T28 ball bearing with 370cc purple injectors which leads to be the last of the S14 SR20DET engines (as older ones ran different coils and T28 bush bearing) Does anyone know the difference between these two ECU codes?
  12. Thanks, So that GKTech kit for S14/S15 braided lines has Banjo bolts in it. I assume this is for stock calipers and not 4 pots? How about R32 R33 Z32? Do they also use a Olive/Flare nut setup? Can I use the GKTech Braided R32 R33 front lines for my S14 S15 4 pot calipers?
  13. Do 4 Pot calipers not use banjo bolts from stock? Also are the 4 pot lines from each of these different? i.e R/Z Chassis 4 pot have a different hole to the S14/S15 4 pot http://www.gktech.com/index.php/s14-s15-200sx-braided-brake-lines-front-rear-set.html http://www.gktech.com/index.php/r32-gts-t-gst-r33-gts-t-gtr-braided-brake-lines-front-rear-set.html
  14. So i have two options, 1. Tap and Die to rethread the hole and remove the olive. Use stock brake line and banjo bolt to fit 2. Helicoil, to fit GKTech braided lines (these are made for the 4 pots arent they) Yeah or am i missing something?
  15. I've read this stock banjo bolt would be too long however? Would I need to shorten it?
